As Product Manager, you will be responsible for driving a strategic plan to ensure your products delight customers and solve high value business problems. Your strategic plan will include driving the profitability of existing products in addition to developing new products for the company. You will build products from existing ideas and help to develop new ideas based on your industry experience and your contact with customers and prospects. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. You must enjoy spending time in the market to understand their problems and find innovative solutions for the broader market.
You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company to ensure all organizations can support the development, marketing, selling and implementation of the solution. You will work with engineering counterparts to define product release requirements. You will work with marketing communications to define the go-to-market strategy, define product positioning, key benefits, and develop key product launch and sales tools. You will work with the implementations teams to ensure they are equipped to deploy the solution. You will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for your product working with the sales channel, partners and key customers.
Required Skills
Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.
- Specify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers.
- Drive a solution definition and plan across multiple teams (primarily Product Development,
- Marketing and Sales) through market and product requirements, release planning, functional reviews and customer ramp-up programs.
- Define and maintain Solution Best Practice definitions and support the definition of Packaged Solutions for service delivery.
- Develop and implement a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute.
- Guide current and evaluate new partner relationships to ensure successful market adoption of your products.
- Provide product thought leadership in the market through conference presentations, white paper development and working with customers to document case studies and realized value.
Required Experience
Qualifications:
- Strong domain and industry experience in the following areas:
- Overall understanding of industrial risk management and asset criticality assessment techniques
- Implementation and management of asset plans with large EAM systems such as SAP, Maximo, Oracle
- Demonstrated experience with maintenance strategy development programs based upon traditional and streamlined techniques such as RCM, FMEA and PMO
- Knowledge and experience with the implementation of condition based and predictive techniques to assess and manage asset health
- Key Understanding of SAE JA1011-12 standards
- Desired knowledge on statistical and analytical techniques to assess failure rates and patterns
- Desire to design and deliver innovative software solutions to solve customer problems
- Knowledgeable with key enterprise software solutions in manufacturing including Enterprise Asset
- Management Systems, ERP Systems, Process Historians and engineering tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Previous experience in marketing, product management or business development is desired
- This position requires travel to customer and non-customer sites worldwide.
