Job: Vibration Analyst & Instructor -  Charlotte, NC

We have an immediate opening in Charlotte, NC (relocation required) for an experienced analyst to perform Vibration Diagnostics, implement PdM programs and teach Vibration Analysis Seminars concentrating on Predictive Maintenance and Vibration Analysis.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical field preferred but is not required. Two-year technical degree is likewise acceptable if candidate has sufficient vibration experience and training.

Five years practical experience with vibration data collection and analysis using FFT analyzers on rotating machinery.

Valid ISO Category III vibration certification or the ability to achieve certification within 6 months.

Experience as an instructor or making technical presentations preferred, but is not required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Will receive extensive training to be able to instruct moderate size, 3-day Entry and Analysis I seminars within one year and then progress to teaching higher levels within 3 years.

Assist in preparation of seminar materials including written text and PowerPoint presentations.

Manage several PdM programs involving creating database point setup for routes, vibration data collection and analysis plus preparation of machinery condition assessment reports.

Perform vibration diagnostic investigations on various types of rotating equipment.

SPECIAL SKILLS AND PROFICIENCIES:

Proficiency using PC applications such as PowerPoint, Microsoft Word and Excel.

Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficient with the operation of one or more analyzers measuring vibration spectra and time waveforms.

Proficient with developing optimum corrective actions based on findings of acquired field vibration analysis data, observations and discussions with key plant personnel.
