New Turn-Key 2-Color Metis MQ Sensor System From PSC
Never content to rest on their laurels, Process Sensors Corporation continues to forge ahead with the development of new and improved features to their non-contact infrared temperature sensors.
Already a stellar industry performer, the Metis MQ11/MQ22 2-color pyrometer series has been enhanced with the addition of still more versatile temperature ranges and resourceful accessories. With a wider temperature range offering from 300 to 3500°C, the new models of the MQ11/MQ22 series fill the needs of industry applications in high-speed ferrous and non-ferrous metals processing, semiconductors and ceramics as well as demanding research and development environments where phenomena of brief duration must be monitored.
Featuring a choice of three innovative aiming methods that include through lens sighting with reticle-defined targets, built-in focusable laser pointer, and black and white video camera, the MQ11/MQ22 makes pinpointing the measurement area a simple task.
Focusable optics offer the advantage that the smallest spot size can be achieved easily at user selectable measurement distances. When developing a temperature sensing and target control system, industry professionals may choose from the standard Metis version, fiber optic model, or versatile miniature lens model depending on the complexity of their individual applications.
For the ultimate in simplicity, the Process Sensors Metis MQ11 and MQ22 models are available with Plug & Play enclosures. The enclosures are turn-key solutions to simplify systems installation, as all the wiring is provided. One of the Plug & Play enclosures comes equipped with a Touch Screen Display that allows set up of all the Metis sensor parameters and provides trend screens and optional solid state alarms. Custom modifications are also available.
The built-in peak picker function (maximum value storage) can be activated to compensate for interruptions in radiation and can be reset automatically, manually, or periodically using a preset clear time.
