Addressing Chemical Compatibility
Chemical compatibility issues that arise when storing large quantities of fuel, chemicals or powders can be mitigated with Steel Breathers. These breathers, which can accommodate high flow rates and storage capacities, can be modified to best suit the needs of your application. Some options for fuels or harsh chemicals include:
• 304 or 316 Stainless Steel
• Plastisol filters (for chemicals)
• Molecular Sieve (for gasoline)
• Activated Carbon (for caustic fumes)
• Silica gel (to adsorb moisture)
Providing a specialized breather for your application can reduce maintenance, spoilage and reconditioning costs by minimizing the corrosion within.
