Trying something new without a plan to manage and sustain the improvement is what you could call a “silver bullet” approach and tends to be very short lived, eventually becoming the flavor of the month. If the same tools result in variable outcomes, then the problem resides in how the program is managed and applied.

Some things you need to consider:
• Is project scope aligned with goals and are you measuring the right things

• Did your organizational structure change as a result of newly defined roles and responsibilities

• What is your communication strategy to get people on the playing field
