Zinc Free Lubrication
Are you running a hydraulic system with zinc free hydraulic fluid requirements? Zinc is commonly used as an anti-wear additive in the form of Zinc dialkyldithiophosphates (ZDDP). With Zinc free hydraulic fluids, ashless additives comprised of sulfur and phosphorus are used to impart anti-wear properties. In some cases, these zinc free additives are not compatible with zinc making it necessary to ensure that all consumables and parts within the hydraulic system are zinc free. This includes filter housings and filter support screens, sample valves, and connections.
