Verisign's Asset Management team is a small, focused team with a mission to ensure that we know all there is to know about our technology assets. To support this mission, we are searching for a Senior Software Engineer to support our security compliance, asset management database, and security tool integrations.

The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for managing key security compliance indicators to ensure our Technology Asset Management program is successfully delivering on our goals. Key aspects of the role will be monitoring compliance for continuous improvement in the program, partner with our information security engineering team on security tool consolidation and prepare activity reports for Verisign’s Safety & Security Council.

Key Responsibilities:

This person will need to understand how to capture relevant system configuration details including serial number, number and type of disks, network information data. They also need to display a track record for high quality and impactful delivery demonstrating strong design skills and a passion for code quality. They must be a master of their craft who thrives on breaking down problems, as well as working collaboratively on delivering valuable solutions. This person must have strong technical aptitude, able to influence positive change, be decisive and partner across the entire organization to be successful in this role.

Qualifications:

5+ years of professional software engineering experience required.

Required Skills:

Proficient with Linux and UNIX systems

Great with JavaScript and one of, or ideally both, Python and Perl.

One or more of MySQL, PostgreSQL

Demonstrated experience working with RESTful APIs

Preferred Skills:

Extensive experience working with ServiceNow
