CarteGraph’s Version 8.1 Introduces Complete Suite of Mobile Solutions
CarteGraph leads the way with market’s first “field to office” solution
Developed with special attention to the needs of a mobile workforce, Version 8.1 combines a simple, intuitive interface with portable technology and mobile mapping capabilities to make the transition of information from “field-to-office” easier and more efficient than ever before.
“This is truly an industry first,” said CarteGraph Product Manager, Jake Schneider, “to have a robust suite of maintenance management solutions that is purposed specifically for the mobile worker.”
While developing Version 8.1, CarteGraph sought to address the market’s need for a complete suite of mobile solutions. With the introduction of this new version, CarteGraph has accomplished just that, expanding its product offering to incorporate mobile versions of the entire suite of CarteGraph solutions-including PAVEMENTview, STORMview, SEWERview, SIGNALview, LIGHTview, BRIDGEview, MARKINGview, WATERview, SIGNview, WORKdirector, and VERSAtools.
“Organizations who may have been previously limited by the market’s lack of mobile options will now have access to fully portable applications that are designed to meet a wide variety of organizational needs,” said Vice President of Products, Dennis Welu.
Version 8.1 augments this portable technology with new mobile mapping capabilities, such as live tracking of crews and assets; location and status of work orders; and easily-referenced event views. By combining these previously distinct mobile functions, Version 8.1 allows an organization to operate more efficiently, and gives field crews the ability to respond more quickly and decisively in cases of urgent work orders.
Also noteworthy is a significant improvement to the installation process. Unlike prior versions, Version 8.1 can be centrally deployed by simply utilizing an organization’s Active Directory and Group Policy protocols, thereby eliminating the need to singularly install the program on individual computers.
“Version 8.1 is a significant step in CarteGraph’s overall mission to deliver enterprise management solutions to the public works, transportation, and utilities markets,” said CarteGraph President and CEO, Scott Taylor, “We hope to improve the way that government does business by providing innovative solutions that offer capability, simplicity, flexibility, and affordability for office and mobile workers.”
