Director of Asset Management

WHAT YOU WOULD DO IN THIS JOB

1. Establish vision for Metro Transit’s Transit Asset Management (TAM)

2. Oversee development and implementation of the Transit Asset Management (TAM) program

3. Serve as Metro Transit lead on the Metropolitan Council's Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system procurement (or oversee designee)

4. Champion implementation of the asset management program and the new EAM system within Metro Transit

5. Manage staff who support asset management program and work with computerized asset management system

6. Coordinate asset management efforts with other ongoing Agency efforts


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

A bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Engineering, Transportation or related field AND nine (9) years of increased responsibility in business management that includes the areas of planning, finance, budgeting, maintenance, and/or operations; AND five (5) years of supervisory experience.

OR

An associate degree (from an accredited two-year college) AND eleven (11) years of increased responsibility in business management that includes the areas of planning, finance, budgeting, maintenance, and/or operations; AND five (5) years of supervisory experience.

OR
A high school diploma AND thirteen (13) years of increased responsibility in business management that includes the areas of planning, finance, budgeting, maintenance, and/or operations; AND five (5) years of supervisory experience.

What additional skills and experience would be helpful in this job (desired qualifications):

  • Asset management experience with both fixed assets (buildings, facilities, infrastructure) and fleets of vehicles (buses, trains, aircraft, trucks, etc.…).
  • Intermediate to expert level of proficiency with Microsoft Access.
