Responsibilities
- Define reliability vision and roadmap, build and mentor a top-tier team, and embed reliability principles into design and development.
- Drive DFMEA and fault-tree analysis, influence architecture decisions, and set supplier reliability standards.
- Build Amperesand’s flagship reliability lab from the ground up. Establish test protocols and partner with accredited labs for certifications.
- Lead root-cause investigations, implement corrective actions, and leverage fleet data for predictive health insights.
- Work closely with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to integrate reliability targets and feedback loops throughout development.
Qualifications
- Technical degree (PhD preferred) or equivalent industry experience in electronics or reliability engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in reliability engineering for power electronics.
- 5+ years of experience managing a team of test, compliance, or reliability engineers.
- Expertise in accelerated testing, physics-of-failure, and reliability statistics.
- Hands-on experience with failure analysis techniques and tools.
- Delivered a high-volume product with field reliability matching demonstrated reliability.
- Knowledge of electrical safety and handling of high-voltage hardware.
- Must have excellent communication skills.
- Proven ability to build teams and infrastructure for reliability excellence.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% including internationally.
