Emerson Process Management’s Enardo Equipment Now Available Through Control Southern Inc.
Emerson’s Enardo safety and environmental control equipment allows plant operators to protect their storage tanks and other process system equipment from fires, explosions, and additional hazards. In many cases, customers’ process systems feature unique construction that require a solution not included in many vendors’ catalogs. This problem is eliminated with Emerson’s ability to custom design the right equipment for their specific applications.
“Many of our customers don’t even realize that they have options when it comes to selecting a flame arrestor,” commented Control Southern president Doug Turner. “Our strong partnership with Emerson combined with our experienced local engineering team will allow us to give our customers exactly what they need, even in the toughest applications.”
Emerson’s Enardo product offerings such as flame and detonation arrestors, pressure vacuum relief valves, and tank vents, serve as passive protection devices when used in a comprehensive plant safety system. Operating on a heat dissipation principle, the flame and detonation arrestors do not require a power source. The arrestors also contain larger flame channels as compared to competing products’ channels, a feature that minimizes pressure drop across the system and facilitates cleaning. Pressure vacuum relief valves and tank vents provide an additional layer of protection by releasing built up pressure from stored vapors and liquids.
Emerson holds an ISO 9001 certification, and its Enardo products adhere to various industry standards, including U.S. Coast Guard, FM, CE and ATEX.
