Milan, Italy – As you can imagine, for the world of maintenance, being able to count on reliability and benchmarking models is a basic requirement. Using these models as a starting point, companies can in fact build their maintenance plans, and check budgets and costs using the practical experiences of similar businesses.
Euromaintenance number XX, the international point of reference for industrial maintenance, taking place from May 12 to 14 2010 at the Conference Centre of Veronafiere, will be advising those in the sector of major updates, including those for models and benchmarking.
The agreement for the second release of the “Global Maintenance and Reliability Indicators” has recently been signed, and this will be put into action by the two key associations for professionals in the maintenance sector in North America and Europe, these being the SMRP (Society for Maintenance & Reliability Professionals) and the EFNMS (European Federation of National Maintenance Societies).
The agreement between the two associations is centred on introducing and developing the “Global Maintenance and Reliability Indicators” through standardisation of companies’ analytical models and experience accrued, in order to establish a valid common platform for professionals in the European Union and North America. In an ever more globalised market, this will prove useful in increasing maintenance performance efficiency.
During Euromaintenance 2010, the benchmarking models and new harmonised indicators contained in the guide will be introduced to maintenance and asset managers in targeted sessions and dedicated themed workshops.
Euromaintenance is aimed at an extremely high level target audience, comprising asset and operations managers, maintenance managers, plant directors, project managers, plant efficiency and reliability specialists, consultants, researchers and experts in the industrial maintenance sector from all over the world.
The Italian edition of Euromaintenance will be structured as follows: one part world class conference (because of the subjects debated and quality of papers), and a highly important expo side, attended by major companies in the sector, who will also have the chance to contribute through technical and application workshops which will allow them to present their responses to problems inherent in the field of industrial maintenance to those attending.
EIOM (Italian Agency for Exhibition Organisation) is in charge of organising Euromaintenance 2010 in Italy, while AIMAN (Italian Maintenance Association) will be seeing to the scientific and cultural side of things, with the aid of the various associations belonging to the EFNMS (European Federation of National Maintenance Societies), which holds the rights to the exhibition). Manutenzione T&M, published by Thomas Industrial Media and Official Magazine of Euromaintenance 2010, will provide the informations on the new “Global Maintenance and Reliability Indicators” guidelines.
