How to Use One Point Lessons

One point lessons (OPLs) are one page informational documents that teach employees a basic knowledge, an easier way to accomplish a task as an improvement, or a notification of a failure so recurrence does not happen. These documents should be developed and implemented by the employees. It gives them ownership of the processes of the workplace and helps with motivation. Once you begin this program, the ideas just keep coming and coming and the communication flow improves greatly. OPLs should be simple, to the point and as visual as possible.
