TRC-2020 Presentation 42:40 Minutes
by David Drerup, Operational Sustainability
Asset management processes are becoming more widely adopted across industrial facilities. In this presentation, we examine an essential aspect of the overall asset management process – Asset Health – to understand the value of using data-centric models and to understand how asset health enables fact-based decision making at the asset and asset class levels across the enterprise. Learning what happens in one facility can be quickly pushed out system-wide to prevent other facilities from having to learn the same lessons at the pace of individual experience. Without a comprehensive, integrated, data-driven asset health approach, the organization’s understanding of a situation moves at the speed of individual failures across the fleet. With integration, decisions and processes supported include maintenance strategy changes, predictive repair, and capital replacement strategies.
