Leak detection in the age of digitalization with SONOCHEK

In the age of digitalization, data must be transferred seamlessly from one device to the next. With SONOCHEK 1.1, maintenance and service engineers can now fully integrate leak inspection into their maintenance activities by transferring the SONOLEVEL measurement data via micro USB into the DATAVIEWER PC-software for central leak visualization and analysis.

The SONOLEVEL DATAVIEWER enables analysts to save time by identifying defects at first sight through the clear visualization of data in level graphs and spectrograms showing ultrasound phenomena such as the status of steam traps or the type of partial electrical discharge. Users can also easily compare reports e.g. of identical bearings. The DATAVIEWER software can be installed easily on a PC or a tablet for on-site evaluation. Export to CSV format is fully supported for data archiving and trending.

SONOCHEK 1.1 includes more updates. For example, in both apps, users can personalize the amplitudes in the spectrograms through the definition of a free colour scale. In the SONOLEAK app, users can customize the leak classes according to their plants and machines and save them as specific profiles that can be reused for further measurements. Pictures can be easily imported via the gallery into the SONOLEVEL or SONOLEAK reports.

Last but not least, a new ultrasound emitter rounds up the solution. The small device emits ultrasound to check air tightness on windows, doors and containers. The intensity of the signal can be adjusted depending on the environmental sound level. It is used effectively to check clean rooms, fire doors and air-conditioning cabinets, in shipbuilding and aircraft construction as well as in road and rail vehicles.

The SONOCHEK package comes as an airborne system with optional parabolic and stucture-borne sensor sets.
