Leveraging a Modified Value Stream Mapping to Prioritize Where to Begin

Value stream mapping (VSM) from lean manufacturing and management identifies waste in the manufacturing process, from raw materials through to finished goods. In your reliability efforts, waste can be defects, misapplied maintenance, or unplanned failures. Waste can be things you are doing that you should not or things that you are not doing that you should. A modified VSM event designs the solution set which will resolve the obstacles to a robust and sustainable culture of reliability and identify the actions to take that will realize value.
