The use of wireless is becoming more prevalent as maintenance teams look to reduce routes and get more data without the high cost of running cable and conduit. Wireless sensor technology for vibration measurements have tradeoffs between how often data is collected, the acquisition parameters, feature calculation, battery life, and more. Focusing on the job to be done can help optimize some of the tradeoffs required while still providing timely notification of alarms and diagnostic quality data.

In this presentation, learn about some of the new technology driving wireless capability, device options you will see on the market, and a take on what’s important in a datasheet. You should leave with a better understanding of general wireless sensor solution architectures and some considerations that will help you in researching wireless technology.
