Maintenance Connection Welcomes Veteran Technology Expert to Expanding Executive Team as CPO
Maintenance Connection has hired Fred Tillman as its new Chief Product and Technology Officer (CPO/CTO), as the software provider continues to expand its executive team during a high-growth phase.
DAVIS, CA – APRIL 26, 2017
Tillman, who resides in Park City, Utah, brings to the Maintenance Connection team more than 20 years of experience in the Software as a Service (SaaS), technology information and commercial software industries. At Maintenance Connection, Tillman is responsible for product management, software development and engineering, IT infrastructure and helping to define the company’s strategic direction and expansion through organic and inorganic growth.
“The entire Maintenance Connection team welcomes Fred with open arms as our new CPO,” explains Eric Morgan, Maintenance Connection CEO. “All of our markets, from manufacturing to healthcare to industrial, are looking to us as pioneers in trends like the cloud and augmented reality. Fred will help us grow as a market leader as we continue to bring on seasoned technology executives who will take us to new heights.”
Tillman was drawn to Maintenance Connection due to its recent investment opportunity, quality reputation, and the chance to further differentiate the CMMS product as a market-dominant software. He has extensive executive experience at companies in similar growth stages as Maintenance Connection. These firms had market-leading products, several rounds of funding and a desire to expand enterprise operations.
“My primary motivation at Maintenance Connection is to create an enabling and collaborative environment for technology professionals that want to make a difference in the world,” says Tillman. “I have an unquenchable thirst for solving business problems through the use of technology. Success is defined by creating value for customers, shareholders, employees and communities. If I can achieve that, the rest falls into place.”
Tillman was also attracted to the company’s philanthropic MC Gives Back program. Maintenance Connection implements an initiative known as “1-1-1.” This ratio includes: donating 1 percent of company profits to causes and non-profit organizations; giving away 1 percent of profits via free or discounted CMMS software to organizations that cannot afford this technology; and contributing 1 percent of employee time during on-the-clock hours each month to local nonprofits.
“I’ve already had the opportunity to visit Maintenance Connection customers on-site,” explains Tillman. “It was immediately evident that this product was not optional for them; it was absolutely necessary for them to complete their jobs. Beyond the product, I admired Maintenance Connection willingness to spend ample time, money and resources to help communities outside of the normal line of business.”
