Maintenance Connection Completes 12th Annual User Group Meeting

Maintenance Connection just held its annual user group training seminar, Checkpoint, for customers in Orlando, FL. The computerized maintenance management software company (CMMS) has been holding annual Checkpoint seminars for the past 12 years in various locations around the country. The seminars provide three days of world-class training for clients to help maximize their investment in Maintenance Connection’s CMMS platform. This year’s event welcomed over 200 users from around the world and included both new customers and longtime clients.

The Checkpoint seminar provided the opportunity for users to attend an array of sessions pertaining to their specific use of the CMMS system. There were over fifty sessions catering to all levels of users. In addition to the learning that took place inside the sessions, users had invaluable opportunities for personal interaction with the Maintenance Connection staff. Clients were given two opportunities to spend dedicated time with the company’s support staff. A “live support” area was conveniently set up throughout the event, giving users the chance to stop by and get answers to questions about functionality and new features. Implementation experts were also on hand, giving clients the opportunity to discuss set up and best practice recommendations specific to their usage scenarios and needs.

The Checkpoint seminar provided the forum for Maintenance Connection to present two annual awards to its customers: User of the Year and Client of the Year. The User of the Year award is presented to a user who actively participates in the Maintenance Connection community, takes the time to become an expert at using the software, and provides regular feedback to help make Maintenance Connection better for fellow users. The 2014 User of the Year was presented to Tony Caruso, The Director of Informatics in the Engineering Services division of Crothall Healthcare. Tony has been using Maintenance Connection since 2004 and was the unanimous choice to receive the award. The Client of the Year award goes to the organization that utilizes the Maintenance Connection software to its fullest, partners with the team to help make their project successful, and actively seeks opportunities to expand and grow with Maintenance Connection. This year’s recipient for Client of the Year 2014 was presented to the City of Orlando. The city has been using Maintenance Connection in its Waste Water Division since 2006. When asked why his organization uses Maintenance Connection, longtime user and Applications Administrator for the division, Aaron Green’s reply was simple, “Preventive maintenance is our goal, and Maintenance Connection is our solution.”

Beyond the training and awards given at Checkpoint, Maintenance Connection prioritized showing its appreciation of its clients during the yearly gathering of users. The always popular client appreciation reception did not disappoint this year despite incurring a last minute shift in location. When the Maintenance Connection staff was forced to bring the planned tropical pool party indoors due to uncooperative weather, they quickly altered the event to incorporate inflatable obstacle courses, games, and entertainment. The reception was described as one of the “best client events yet” by several regular attendees.

In 2015 Maintenance Connection will shift its Checkpoint User Group Seminar to the West Coast when it holds its 13th annual meeting in Sacramento, CA. Registration for the event will be available in early 2015 at checkpoint.maintenanceconnection.com
