Quick Change of Material Diameter on the Drawing Line

The benefits of the RS20 lie primarily in the speed at which material diameters can be changed. Only three minutes are usually enough. Besides, the encapsulated sensor units are extremely robust and easily come in and out without any moving parts.

When producing rods and wires of various material diameters, eddy current systems must adapt quickly with each change of diameter. Guide bushings and testing parameters must be adjusted each time. Diameter adjustments, and the subsequent check using calipers, are often time-consuming and complicated.

The new RS20 system for non-destructive eddy current testing of metallic cylindrical material such as tubes, wires and rods of diameters ranging 2 to 20 mm enables high throughput rates. Thanks to its rugged and compact design, it is easily integrated into the production lines (drawing lines).
