Ultrasound Level I and II Schedule Announced by Ultra Sound Technologies
Today, Ultra Sound Technologies announced its schedule for upcoming Ultrasound Down Conversion®, or UDC, classes taking place through January 2014. This vendor-neutral company provides an edge for engineers and maintenance technicians looking for information presented in a straightforward and easy to understand manner. The courses will be held in a variety of cities including Kennesaw, Georgia, Orlando, Florida and Metairie, Louisiana. The schedule of training classes and registration information can be found at http://ultra-soundtech.com/schedule.
Ultra Sound Technologies prides itself on delivering practical guidelines for the usage of ultrasounds in today’s world-class predictive maintenance programs. Due to the fact that the company is not a vendor, there is no biased information regarding one instrument over another. Further, when less time is spent on sales and promoting equipment, there is more time in courses for practical training and one-on-one instruction.
Jim Hall, the President/Owner of Ultra Sound Technologies Training Systems commented, “Many of our attendees have let us know how pleased they were with our vendor-neutral approach and information regarding techniques and about applications that only a very few know about.”
Upcoming UDC-1 classes run November 18-20th, 2013 and December 3-5th, 2013 in Kennesaw, Georgia. In 2014, the company will offer another UDC-1 class in Orlando, Florida taking place January 14-16. A UDC-2 class, taking place January 28-30, in Metairie, Louisiana, will follow. Level 1 will train students on everything from ultrasound theory and leak detection to conducting electrical, mechanical and steam trap inspections. The Level II Course curriculum includes Advanced Applications for Airborne and Structure-Borne Ultrasound Inspection including Time Waveform Analysis and Introduction to Vibration Analysis, Wear and Lubrication. Mr. Jim Hall of Ultra-Sound Technologies and Mr. Randy Stiver of ASTAR, LLC teach all classes.
In regards to his decision to begin offering courses, Jim Hall explained, “I noticed that individuals in the maintenance world were looking for more applications, theory and practical guidelines, as well as ‘case histories’ by instructors with real-world experience.”
To date, Hall has trained more than 1400 students and has personally attended over 200 conferences, seminars, and lectures. He has presented many papers and lectures in the use of airborne ultrasound for predictive and preventative maintenance. In addition to the upcoming course schedule, he will be speaking at the International Maintenance Conference in Bonita Springs, Florida in December and Reliability 2.0 Las Vegas taking place in April of 2014.
