One way to reduce the inventory levels in the storeroom is to solicit help from your vendors. Parts that have had little turn-over are candidates or parts that may be obsolete by other equipment installs add no value sitting on your shelves. With assistance from the vendor, review these parts and determine if they are marketable to the vendor. The vendor could purchase them, and remove them from your storeroom. Even if these items are purchased back at reduced costs it would remove inactive stock from your bins, and put money back on your company's bottom-line.
