Beyond the obvious safety equipment, such as hearing protection, steel-toe shoes, work gloves, hard hat, safety glasses and fire retardant clothing, some of the other essential equipment is not so obvious. So here's a little list based on nearly 30 years of field experience:

- Shears, Flat File and Ball-Peen Hammer
- Pancake Jacks and Pry Bars
- Inside and Outside Micrometers
- Set of Feeler Gauges
- Torque Wrench with Crow's Foot Adapter

- White Correction Fluid and Scribe

- Dry Spray Solvent and a Can of Compressed Air
