Call for Papers Is Now Open for The RELIABILITY Conference 2027, Co-Located with Smart Manufacturing Week

Share your reliability story on the TRC 2027 stage in Detroit — present to reliability, maintenance, asset management peers; as well as manufacturing, smart factory, and digital transformation leaders under one roof.

BOSTON, MA — The Call for Papers for The RELIABILITY Conference (TRC) 2027 is now open. TRC 2027 will take place April 19–22, 2027, at Huntington Place in Detroit, Michigan, co-located within Smart Manufacturing Week.

Practitioners, reliability leaders, operations managers, and solution providers are invited to submit abstracts that share field-tested methods, measurable results, and practical strategies for improving asset performance, reducing downtime, and building safer, more sustainable workplaces.

One Stage. Two Audiences. The Heart of U.S. Manufacturing.

TRC has long been the place where reliability, maintenance, and asset management professionals exchange what actually works. In 2027, that conversation moves to Detroit and expands in reach.

Because TRC is co-located with Smart Manufacturing Week U.S., selected speakers will present to reliability peers and thousands of manufacturing, smart factory, and digital transformation leaders in the same venue. Detroit sits at the center of one of North America’s most concentrated manufacturing regions, with more than 3.3 million manufacturing jobs within a 250-mile radius.

That combination matters. Reliability is no longer a side conversation from digitalization and plant operations. Under one roof, speakers can connect precision maintenance and asset strategy with the people responsible for factory modernization, data, automation, and performance.

One registration for The Reliability Conference also provides access to the full Smart Manufacturing Week program, reinforcing the event as a single destination for reliability leadership and advanced manufacturing.

Where You Can Speak

Abstracts are welcome for sessions across TRC and the co-located Smart Manufacturing Week theaters:

  • The RELIABILITY Conference: 45-minute breakout sessions on reliability, asset management, and maintenance.
  • SMW Uptime Theater: Strategies for reliability, less downtime, and asset performance.
  • SMW Digital Transition Theater: Data, AI, and automation driving smarter operations.
  • Manufacturing Digitalization Summit: Case studies and panel sessions on solving the industry's toughest challenges

Strong submissions will emphasize practical insight over theory: what changed, how it was implemented, what results were measured, how the results were measured, and what peers can apply in their own plants.
