Cirebon EnergiPrasaranaand CohesiveHonouredwith Maximo Award for Power Plant Health and Safety Excellence
Cirebon EnergiPrasarana(CEPR), one of West Java’s leading independent power producers, and Cohesive, part of Bentley Systems, havereceived a prestigious award recognizing CEPR’s advancement of workplace safety using IBM Maximo.
The Health, Safety and Environmental Leadership award was presented atMaximoWorld2026 in Nashville, Tennessee.
It recognized the successful adoption by CEPR of IBM Maximo HSE and in, particular, its transition from paper-based to fully digital Permit to Work (PTW) processes (the authorized documents used in industrial environments) to support safety compliance at its 1,000 MW ultra-supercritical coal-fired plant.
CEPR is one of the first power plants in Indonesia tooperatea fully integrated, ‘digital first’ PTW and isolation management system at scale, marking a significant milestone in modernizing power plant operations in the region.
The implementation has already proven its value during CEPR’s recent 47-day outage where Maximo HSE’s digital workflows and control capabilities played a key role in ensuring it was completed safely and on schedule despite needing the coordination of thousands of work activities, the processing of large volumes of safety-critical permits, and the management of hundreds of contractors under tight operational timelines.
Andy Saputra, ICT Manager at CEPR, said: "By unifying asset, safety, and operational workflows into one intelligent system, CEPR is setting a new benchmark for Indonesia’s energy sector. This award is testament to the progress we are making on our mission to modernize our operations and contribute to the nation’s long-term energy resilience.”
Colin Ellam,CEO,Cohesive, said: "This award recognizes what can be achieved when world-class technology is combined with a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence. CEPR has demonstrated outstanding leadership in creating a digital-first safety culture, and we are proud to have partnered with them on a project that is setting a new benchmark for the power generation industry in Indonesia and beyond."
Category: Excellence in Maintenance Management Winner: Sedin Technologies Inc (EAM360) / Sands China Limited
Sedin Technologies has been named winner of theMaximoWorldAwards 2026 Best Migration category for its migration of Las Vegas Sands Corp (SCL Macau) to IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) SaaS.
Over twelve months, Sedin migrated five of Sands integrated resort sites onto a single global MAS SaaS instance shared with the group's Singapore property, serving more than 3,000 users across engineering, facilities, housekeeping, IT, and gaming operations in a multilingual environment. The program was delivered with zero impact to the live Singapore tenant and effectively zero downtime for a 24/7 regulated operation, using a single six-hour cutover window for the first wave.
Outcomes include a projected $30M+ in five-year program benefit (conservatively scoped), a 50% reduction in guest-impacting service request response time (20 to 10 minutes), an 80% reduction in data-related support tickets, and a reduction in annual unplannedMaximo downtime from40 hoursto 10. Data governance was treated as a precondition for migration rather than a clean-up afterwards, producing an audit-ready, single-source-of-truth foundation across all five properties.
