World class Reliability Programs require a solid foundation. At a minimum you must know what assets you have operating in your facility. The foundation of your program will be some type of accurate Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Your Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP) and Asset Management (AM) strategy will all be developed with the information you have there. Building the foundation will require time and commitment. This process will affect your Reliability Program throughout its life.
