To enable Framatome to deliver superior service to their customers, they utilize Maximo through a combination of core capabilities and extended configurations including extra applications and business rules. Maximo enables Framatome to manage the entire lifecycle of their customer projects, from sourcing through execution as well as maintenance of internal equipment used to delivery customer work. Maximo is first used to scope, plan, and estimate customer work through a hybrid clone of work orders, items, inventory, and other functions. Using Maximo, they are able to identify the materials and resources used, defining the right mix for the job, and with the push of a button exploding item assembly structures into lists of individual equipment, parts, and components that need to be staged to be sent to customer work sites, and returned when the job is done. Project estimates are processed through a workflow that uses configured algorithms to provide the costs to charge customers for use of equipment and labor and allow for inputs and approval workflows to ensure that the estimates are accurate and accepted by all required Framatome leads.
Ultimately, Framatome has supercharged Maximo to meet the complicated advanced needs of their services organization and take the place of numerous outdated technology systems.
