Writing SAMPs can be difficult and complicated. Trying to assess where an organization stands currently in their maintenance program, their readiness for change and what type of change is needed can be overwhelming. SAMPs benefit organizations by aligning asset management principles to the maintenance activities while breaking down silos within organizations that often have competing objectives. Continuity throughout the business provides a clear look at what activities should be performed for value creation. This session is a tactical overview of the creation of a SAMP, covering topics like drafting a policy and executive summary, stakeholders analysis, baseline risk assessment, SWOT, and responsibilities and communications plans.
