CRL 1-hr: Nov 7 Introduction to Uptime Elements Reliability Framework and Asset Management System

IMC Presentation (41:11)

by Randy Carlisle, Airgas Merchant Gases

This presentation will review some basic oil properties and bearing or gear clearance information. We will cover why varnish and particulates are critical concerns in rotating machinery. We will emphasize the importance of oil condition and it is just as important as machine condition.

Topics include: Review of what lube oil does in a machine Sources of contamination with emphasis on maintaining a closed system Examples of damage from varnish and particulates Discuss various oil analysis that are available and what they can tell you about the equipment. Why some traditional analyses are less important than in the past New analyses that are critical to modern machinery Present our oil management program Fill for life concept Additives and oil evolution Manage the oil as a separate component of the equipment

Going Digital Means More Data for Decision Making: Are You Checking the Integrity of Your Data?

The application of Industry 4.0 principles often involves the enhanced use of CMMS applications and the automation of data collection, all resulting in the world of Big Data.

Performance Analytics to Drive Maintenance Strategies

Performance Analytics to Drive Maintenance Strategies

Maintenance strategies are pivotal in keeping your asset portfolio operating at peak performance. Performance analytics can be built around leveraging this incredible power from your computer maintenance management system (CMMS).

Show Me The Money! Key Approaches for Forecasting Capital and O&M Needs

All facilities and infrastructure assets deteriorate with time and use. To maintain the effectiveness and value of an asset, renewal work should be performed periodically, and when the asset has reached the end of its functional useful life, it should be replaced.

An End to the Hype: A Layered Fit for Purpose Approach to Analytics to Hit Your PM Goals Today

When it comes to everyday challenges in operations and maintenance, like improving PM (planned maintenance) completion rate, AI/ML (artificial intelligence/machine learning) is often relegated to experimental solutions to justify “big data” initiatives that eventually fail to deliver real value.
