Here what a
great flow of information a lot of information
to ingest this morning. That's for sure. And you
know, our our vision for you is
not just to get that information. Although that's really critical. We
knew there was so much information that was needed from the
IBM team today and they delivered they
delivered everything we wanted we're gonna ask a couple of the IBM
partner IBM partner some
of the maximum partners and some of the try Riga Partners to come
join us on stage help us kind of pull what they
just told us with the IBM executes just told us put
that in context so we can help you translate that to
what should you do with this information that was
just given to us. What can we do in the short term or can
we do in the midterm? Welcome do we do in the long term with that? So if
the partners that come up and join me, I very much appreciate and we'll
get this conversation started.
Come on up guys and gals.
Give them a hand, please.
Wow, that was a lot of information. I hope you took good notes.
You got it, right. You got it. All right up here. Everything
candris is Ann Aaron all the
Scott and the PED of the
vegetation with weather.com who knew
fantastic. So put this
in context for us. We got 1400 people here that
listened all that they wanted all
What how do we convert that into into action
and to do into moving us towards
reliability values sustainability David Armstrong?
Well, what did we just hear?
We heard sustainability.
So what is sustainability and how does IBM?
Make that live make that actionable. So in
order to become sustainable, one of the things that we
need to do is we need to be able to think differently and see
differently.
So think and see is digitalization. So
going digital is much
digitalization is much deeper than just going
digital. You can add digital Solutions, but
it's the intelligence that we need to digitalize. It
is the currency of your organizations today.
Digitalization is the most critical piece to being going sustainable
to evolve at speed.
So the other thing I'm going to touch on is beyond those
two things that I heard was, you know,
what's going to make this happen. So in
most of the world we talk about government. Okay. So
government is forcing action. So in
the UK for instance, if you want reduced Capital
expenses you go
green you become sustainable. So your cost
of boring money is lowered now here in this
part of the world. We don't like government but we like governance
So I sit later this week with a bunch of Insurance Advisors
because they want to know how digital Solutions
are allowing us to become
more sustainable so they can assess and
force governance because if
Government doesn't do it business needs to do it.
The last thing that I heard was evolve it's
time for us to evolve. It's time to
step up because the world is not
waiting.
Our communities and our businesses aren't waiting. The world
is on fire people. It's time to evolve
and jump on the ship.
Love it call to action.
Great. Thank you. David Gretchen. Put it in context for
us. Would you hear what do we got to do next?
So I think a great example is one of our award
winners this morning, which is a mentum a lot
of such a humble gentleman, but the impact that what they're doing in
the world in the commercial and government sector and federal sectors, very
important and I mentioned that because their clients include those
that you might not even think of Johnson and Johnson caterpillar John
Deere Air Force Navy
and Army and I think it's really important
that we walk through what that's like for us. It's our pleasure to
deal with them for the past seven years and and this goes to action we
work with them for that amount of time but it's a very
unique model when you're delivering for a B2B business rather than to
be to see so there's standards are extremely high the
sla's the kpis that they deliver upon it
drives us as interlock to Greatness on what
we need to digitalize how much data we need to analyze for
them and then in return what their giving back
into their client base as well. So it's very important as
in regards to the data governance, which was what the
award was from, but that
Is not always what everyone sees and the
amount of data that was given there is significant amount of
percentages given across some of the most
key clients in regards to carbon emissions that you and
will were part of that award. There was also reduction in
work order corrective
maintenance all of these things that were fantastic that were really driven
by Maximo what I find fascinating which
is next in the next conversation is I met with Al last
night a gentleman at a cocktail hour. So take advantage of
them and I learned about in busy in the first conversation. I
had this morning with Vlad is I like in busy for
you. This could be another ad for you in your contract and
with all your clients. So now we're looking to expand upon
what we've done already the evolution the movement
forward what Richard's talking about. What is the next step of
what we're able to deliver to our clients to their
clients that will give them even more sustainability going
to going forward and also additional time to Value.
Think about the the actual
Mental impact that would have for all those
types of clients and those that they serve around the world. So we
look at that from a Mobility perspective real-time Mobility accurate
Mobility data that you can trust
and then all the analytics all of what you saw this morning
is about real data accurate quick time
to value and how quickly you can turn that into analysis
to impact the change that you need and what's being asked for so
that's how we see it moving forward and I couldn't give a better example from
them this morning leave it to Gretchen. They got the connector for in
busy to maximal yesterday. She's got a client ready to go today. That's
amazing, huh? He's not ready. All right,
look at it. All right, but I think it's a great passage way
to the future of what we're looking to be able to do for them and likewise. That's
terrific exactly. Put it in context
for us. We heard a lot this morning is there it can we convert some
of that to action. Yeah, and I heard a lot about obviously sustainability here
and how IBM can really support everyone's Journey
on sustainability. And what does that
really look like and to really do that? You need to engage with all
of
Clients with everyone that's actually in the
field and get a better sense of what makes sense to them. What works
for them. How do we get the most value out of their
day? They're increased their time to Value but really making sure that
you're engaging with your clients. And I think there was a good part
of the presentation there from IBM talking about the that user partner
program, which I thought was really interesting. So making sure
that you're always cognizant of what your users
need and not giving them stuff that they don't need. So I
think that really goes also back to you know, the award that
seven company one this morning for best Mobility implementation.
I think a big part of their project was
engaging with the user Community from start to finish.
I know that's a more of a common theme now
that it used to be in the past, which is really great. But really making sure that everyone
that is that you're planning to use the software
whatever whether that's mobile whether you're looking at IBM weather
or that really great maid system I saw from forward which
is really incredible getting that feedback from the people that
are actually going to be using the tools because they drive your goal
to that.
The ultimate sustainability. Yeah, that
was great. That was really exciting stuff. It was Troy. What
about you? How can you put in context for so we can
take all that information make it to do sure so we
help our customers. Look at solving these
problems and the application of the Technologies really focused
on real estate and their facilities and
related assets. And so typically our customers
come to us with a couple of different
profiles or they may actually have several either. They're
interested in real estate from an investment standpoint. So
they bring interests around on the
commercial side. They want to drive profitability. They want to make the
best financial decisions around their real estate. But also more and
more there's responsibility ESG sustainability is
obviously a big concern on the investor side on the
public side. There may be some more Mission driven interest
but largely the same from an ownership perspective.
The second category would be an occupier. So
occupiers have related but distinct interests in
real estate in a post-covid world
occupiers right now have a
lot of focus on the workplace experience how to entice the
workforce back. How do you make that that workplace
promote the well-being and productivity
of the people that are there and now there's
almost a war for talent right through a lens of real estate
which is how do you attract and retain Talent through creating
delightful experiences at work? So those are kind of
the occupier interests and how we can apply the Technologies to
address those and then lastly would be the operators. And so
our company is actually one of the largest facility Management
Services providers. So we're
actually users of the systems like IBM and try Riga
we've done a lot of investment on the reliability side
from leadership training certifications. And
so we try to optimize the
use of those real estate and Facilities ass
That's through the use of Technology specifically through
these systems. So there's a few different perspectives there
on how we can apply those Technologies depending
on how customers looking to optimize their real
estate and all those are quite applicable. So
awesome that we're in a time where we talk about delightful places
to work. I love that. I love
that language Jeff turn this into some action
for us. Let me tell you something Terry it's exciting, you
know, actually fresh off the awards earlier today seeing kind
of all these different projects folks are
doing and then you're seeing everything that IBM can do now which hey can
pretty much take all this data from wherever we're getting
the sources on the edge putting it in the cloud connecting to your
apms all this I think that can be kind of intimidating. So
maybe what I would say to you guys for hey,
let's get some actions going is like think about baby
steps, right? How can we use this data to
get like a quick win? You know what I
mean? Whether it's getting data in the field whether it's hey I've got
Got some devices on the edge. It's telling
me the temperature is it's telling me the vibrations. Let me
see how I can start to pull that in and just create a notification right
that gets out to the maintenance teams. These are easy things.
These are places that you can start you can get that quick
win. And then from there you can kind of grow it out to one
of these award-winning programs. But yeah, I think it's it's really exciting
and there's bits and pieces that everybody in this room can go out
and Tackle today and just find your bit and piece
to get to get get the quick win. I like that advice. You're always so
practical love it Jeff. So practical logical logical logically.
That's the word for it Tracy you
subversive. He's the guy that started the whole subversive try
reggae thing here. So I don't know. I'm an
angel in this. Oh, yeah, right and it's easy innocent. He's
innocent. No Tracy turn it into action for us. So what
I heard today was something very critical we've had rodrigue
we've had Maximo now, we have been busy coming and we have these
pieces of the puzzle, but let's look at that as as really
a piece that's coming together now a puzzle coming together.
I've been asked over the years. What's the difference between trial
Regan Maxima? All right in my explanation is always been
that trariga is this full real estate life cycle?
It's 200 kilometers wide 50 kilometers deep, you
know, it's a stream of data that starts from the
time you're thinking about where you want to be, you know,
you go through transactions you build a space renovate manage
it you have operations and maintenance and you build
this pool to sustainability data and then you have Maximo which
is 50 kilometers wide 200 kilometers deep.
It's very focused. Very deep. Very detail. Now,
we have a good ability to put the two together.
Because there are use cases for that in a practical reason to
do that. So now our stream has become this
River of data that's going to feed into the sustainability
engine and then we have the icing on the cake. Now. We
haven't visited that we can really do practical analysis of
all this data around scope one and
two and I suspect Suzanne's team of
magicians. Hopefully is looking at scope three supply chain
because I'd like to see that and now if we
do that we're heading toward a completion of the ESG
picture on this that's a
huge sustainability side. It's a governance side because investors
in all are looking at especially supply chain now,
so we're building the whole puzzle out. Well, thank
you that's great context for when just when we
missed one thing then how wide and how deep is in busy?
I envy is probably a 200 by
200 now because it's the whole big picture piece of it
and I think again once we get the more scope
three in there, we're going to be in good shape. Terrific great. Well,
how about a hand for them putting such great contacts turn
it into action for us. Thank you panel very
much.
