ABB Launches Next-Generation Asset Management Solution to Improve Efficiency and Optimize Costs

Zurich, Switzerland, January 31, 2017 – Asset Health Center 3.0 combines ABB’s industry and software expertise with Microsoft Cortana Intelligence and Azure cloud platform to provide actionable intelligence

ABB today announced the global launch of its next-generation asset performance management (APM) solution, Asset Health Center 3.0. This latest software based solution enables asset-intensive industries to improve efficiencies and optimize costs by combining ABB’s APM offering with the Microsoft Azure cloud platform.

ABB’s industry-leadingAsset Health Centeruses predictive and prescriptive analytics, as well as customized models incorporating decades of industry expertise, to identify and prioritize emerging maintenance needs based on probability of failure and asset criticality.

Asset Health Center is a key component of ABB’s lifecycle management approach to deliver a holistic solution for managing the complete asset lifecycle. Now available in the form of a Software as a Service (SaaS) solution, Asset Health Center 3.0 enables simpler and faster implementation in the Azure cloud platform, improved visualization and analytics, as well as easier integration of predictive models using Cortana Intelligence.

Asset Health Center 3.0 is an example of how ABB’s Ability™ range of digital solutions connect customers to the power of the Industrial Internet of Things, turning data insights into direct action that to generate customer value in the physical world. It is also a key component of ABB’s digital substation concept where it collects condition data to optimize performance and improve the substation’s efficiency and cost effectiveness – reducing transformer and breaker downtime by up to 50 percent.
