iOS Mobile Applications Warehouse and Fleet crews have always been mobile, and now AgileAssets Version 7.1 supports them in their work with two new iOS apps that allow them to do their work from an Apple® iPad® or iPhone® device. These iOS applications will be available for download from the Apple® iTunes® store.
The Materials Manager App makes it easier for crews to manage inventory by taking a mobile device in to the warehouse or work site and allow them to scan inventory bar codes, update quantities, and record inventory transfers and purchases.
The Fleet Maintenance Manager App enables a technician to view the details of a vehicle with a simple lookup, giving them preventative maintenance, vehicle details, or warranty information at their fingertips. They can enter information about labor, materials and equipment as they work, improving visibility to progress and making sure you have the latest information on your fleet.
Visual Project Editing Tool Version 7.1 also introduces the new Visual Project Editing Tool (initially available in version 7.1 of AgileAssets® Pavement AnalystTM module) that enables transportation project planners to interactively create work plans using a visual project timing and location environment. Using drag and drop, planners can view projects along route mile points and mileposts displayed over time, including travel direction and lanes and move them around to optimize a plan.
Improved Mapping Experience AgileAssets has updated its mapping capabilities and introduced a new, unified interface that provides intuitive access for all GIS needs - such as opening, creating, manipulating, layering, viewing, searching, saving or printing maps. This allows for a consistent experience for all users throughout the AgileAssets solution, and combines map definition, display and reporting in to one. In addition to improving the mapping experience, AgileAssets has made it easier to share maps with users in Esri® ArcGIS Online, and use map and layers from ArcGIS as well.
LRS Gateway Managing the Linear Reference System (LRS) is fundamental to Asset Management and version 7.1 features LRS GatewayTM, a new interface to 3rd party LRS solutions including Esri Roads and Highways and Bentley® Exor Network Manager, as well as proprietary LRS systems. LRS Gateway allows an agency to leverage their existing LRS investment in asset management without concerns over quality or integrity of the information. LRS Gateway keeps everything in sync.
