3/2/2011 Corrales, NM - Asset Performance Technologies, Inc. (APT) announced today ENMAX Energy Corporation has selected PRO-M v8.0 with the APT Asset Strategy Library (ASL) to support its Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system upgrade from IBM Maximo version 6.2 to version 7.2. According to Gary Olivi, Fleet Reliability and Optimization Manager at ENMAX Energy, “We are pleased to be working with APT’s failure reporting library and Preventive Maintenance (PM) optimization software. We were diligent in our search for the right product, and found APT could readily satisfy our needs for maintenance content. APT’s ASL will save us time and money in our Maximo upgrade, as we benchmark and improve our preventive maintenance plans across our facilities.

“APT’s PRO-M v8.0 Solution relies upon the APT Asset Strategy Library (ASL), the world’s largest library of asset strategy templates (failure modes and maintenance recommendations) for industrial equipment. The ASL is currently in use in 84% of the nuclear power generation facilities in the U.S., as well as in Japan and South Korea, and was recently validated in the oil and gas industry. It comprises over 320 PM templates addressing a broad range of infrastructure equipment (pumps, valves, motors, compressors, etc.) that are universally applicable to nearly all industries. With in-depth failure mode tables (approximately 60 modes per template) and PM task effectiveness mapped to each mode, the ASL forms the basis for APT’s PRO-M optimization tools. In addition to providing the reliability basis for its PM recommendations, PRO-M easily estimates the reliability, availability, and business value added by each PM task as well as by the overall PM program, comparing expert-recommended PM plans with existing or new plans at your facility. The result is optimized PM programs, for which equipment reliability is balanced with plant availability as a function of the financial costs and benefits of maintenance at the plant. According to David Worledge, CEO at APT, “ENMAX Energy is way ahead of the game in managing the costs and benefits of equipment maintenance. Now with the capabilities of much larger organizations, PRO-M and the ASL should help ENMAX Energy to manage its electrical generation facilities more cost-effectively than its competitors.”
