ALBUQUERQUE, NM - JANUARY 15, 2016

Asset Performance Technologies, Inc. (APT) announced today that it has released the 17th version of its Asset Strategy Library (Release 17). APT already provides the most comprehensive library of FMEA tables and asset strategies for equipment in asset-intensive industries, and with this expansion covers even more of the needs of the maintenance & reliability professional. This addition to the library shows APT’s continued dedication to ensuring that its clients have the ability to better manage the preventative maintenance of over 650 types of equipment commonly found in most plants.

In short, the ASL is a database of expert wisdom to:

  • expedite RCM analyses of your maintenance strategies
  • shorten time-to-value of your CMMS and other software implementations,
  • improve profitability of your business by doing the right maintenance at the right times for YOUR plant(s).

ASL-R17 contains 650 equipment types (58 new and 9 updates), including:

  • 46,000 Degradation Mechanisms (FMEA rows), ~70 per type
  • 4,100 PM Tasks and Intervals (PM Templates), ~6 per type.

“It’s not just data. It’s something much more valuable. It’s the wisdom from equipment experts on how equipment fails and how to best avoid those failures.” - Mark S Benak, CEO

ASL-R17 was generated by industry subject matter experts (SMEs), who represent over 26,000 man-years of experience across multiple plants and industries. The ASL degradation mechanisms (FMEA) and PM templates (asset strategies) are valid for the complete range of known operating conditions. With PM task effectiveness mapped to each degradation mechanism, the ASL sets a new standard for PMO and APM in asset-intensive industries. The ASL is also available in the Meridium and Bentley Assetwise APM products.
