Clockwork Solutions Validates >98% Operational Availability from Waller Marine’s Floating Barge

Austin, TX (PRWEB) - Clockwork’s unique technology and high fidelity life cycle predictive modeling and simulation capabilities were selected by Waller Marine to perform a RAM (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability) study to help Waller Marine accurately assess, validate, and optimize the future operational performance and provisioning requirements for Waller Marine’s latest floating power generation barge design. Each barge is mounted with a GE 7FA Gas Turbine Power Plant capable of producing 171 MW a piece. These barges represent the world’s largest floating power generation barges. Clockwork Solutions Inc. validated how Waller Marine’s robust design and sustainment provisioning can provide in excess of 98% operational availability, better than many land based power plants.

A case study was written and published 5 January 2012 and can be found at http://www.clockwork-solutions.com/inf_doc.php?dt=7.
