EASA Announces Program for 2016 Convention

ST. LOUIS ⎯ The Electrical Apparatus Service Association (EASA) will hold its Annual Convention and Exposition from June 12 - 14, 2016 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The theme for the 2016 Convention is “E3: Educate – Experience - Engage”

Discussing the theme, EASA Chairman of the Board, Mr. Mike Dupuis, noted “The convention theme perfectly sums up what you can expect from the many education sessions and exhibition.”

The convention will once again feature a wide-ranging program addressing current business and management issues, including:

  • How Customers Evaluate the Quality of Service Work: explains the language of quality of services including the role of service gaps.
  • Sustainable Sales Team Development: outlines seven essential components for entrenching a culture of training and practice for sales teams.
  • Global Industrial Economy - 2016 and Beyond: an overview of short and long-term global economic forecasts.

Additionally, the convention program includes a range of technical sessions focusing on the latest ideas for improving the operation of electromechanical equipment. These topics include:

  • Failure Analysis of Bearings: understand the causes and damages from the most common electric motor bearing failures and how to resolve them.
  • Pump System Optimization: explores practices to improve reliability while reducing operating costs.
  • Safety Regulations Update: reviews the new safety regulations which soon become effective and how to build a safety program and culture of safety.

Another feature of the EASA Convention is the three-day exposition featuring the industry’s leading manufacturers showing the latest in electric motors, drives and controls, pumps, generators, and other electromechanical equipment. The exposition features an open-floor format for attendees to talk face-to-face with companies that serve the electrical apparatus industry. For information on exhibiting at the exposition, contact Dale Shuter at EASA at dshuter@easa.com. Flexible registration options are available.
