Fluor Teams with Azima DLI for Client Predictive Maintenance Needs

Fluor Corporation (NYSE: FLR) announced today that it will team with Azima DLI to provide clients with a dynamic and comprehensive solution for their industrial predictive maintenance needs. Initially, the joint solution will be available to oil, gas, chemicals, power, and mining and metals clients where ongoing operations and maintenance needs are identified-especially in nations with emerging economies.

As part of this arrangement, Fluor brings its global operations and maintenance resources and expertise including site-based data collection, analysis and corrective action planning while Azima DLI will provide its WATCHMAN Reliability PortalTM analysis software and instrumentation. The combined expertise of the two companies is especially important for client companies’ ongoing maintenance needs in developing nations where their in-house expertise for data analysis might be stretched.

“Fluor and Azima DLI will share remote analysis and remote planning responsibilities based on geography, size of the project and applicable execution capabilities,” said Kirk Grimes, president of Fluor’s Global Services Business Group. “We expect the results to meet client needs for improved reliability and maintenance efficiencies in existing facilities as well as in new facilities where this approach meets the special challenges of start-up and the initial years of plant operations.”

Predictive maintenance programs offer the potential for early detection and correction of potential equipment challenges. To address these needs, under the new teaming relationship, each individual solution will be customized to fit each client’s specific and unique needs.

“Our analytic software and advanced data collectors were designed to perform consistently under rugged conditions and to ensure predictive maintenance programs are delivering on the promise of machine reliability and uptime,” said Randy Johnson, vice president of sales and marketing, Azima DLI. “We are proud to be working closely with Fluor to meet the needs of clients that are seeking sustainable programs that achieve their plants’ operational goals.”
