Global PTM identified the best approach for implementing the newly acquired sites into the Oracle eAM environment, which allowed Alpha to standardize their maintenance processes leveraging the Oracle eAM solution. This effort included the development of an implementation timeline, staffing plan, and schedule to ensure proper system configurations, interfaces, application set-ups, and initial testing. A train-the-trainer approach created and led by Global PTM provided user training for the core project team prior to the go-live launch.

“The addition of the Massey Energy sites brought with it a challenge with our existing Oracle applications,” reported Alpha Natural Resources. “The approach developed by Global PTM successfully addressed the Oracle eAM implementation and how the interfaces needed to be configured with the various site locations. Their team gathered user feedback, conducted training, and continued to support us through the go-live and beyond. With Global PTM, we were able to achieve the results we expected.”

As a result of the Oracle eAM implementation, Alpha Natural Resources has successfully standardized on a company-wide maintenance system that provides improved business intelligence reporting and analysis capabilities.
