Portland, OR - Graphic Products, Inc. has announced its new Arc Flash Labeling kit - a complete package of all the resources safety managers need to start labeling their facility. Arc Flash injuries include severe burns which destroy skin tissue and other organs, huge pressure wave blasts that can throw the victim several feet, hearing loss and even death. Now there’s no need to invest hours researching the appropriate printer and labeling supplies. The DuraLabelPRO300 Arc Flash Labeling Kit gives you everything to begin creating custom arc flash labels.
The Arc Flash Labeling kit contains:
·DLP300 label printer and software. This reliable thermal transfer printer produces quality 300 dpi resolution and prints supplies up to 4” wide.
·Premium vinyl tape, Orange, 2” x 140”
·Arc Flash labels Red/Danger, 4” x 6” (200 each)
·Arc Flash labels Orange/Warning, 4” x 6” (200 each) with template box
·Premium ribbon Black, 4.3” x 984’
In the past, the NFPA required little information on arc flash labels. Aside from OSHA requirements, only incident energy and personal protective equipment (PPE) needed to be displayed. The new 2012 NFPA 70E standards require much more information.
As of September 30, 2011 the NFPA requires labels to display the nominal system voltage, arc flash boundary and one of the following:
·Available incident energy and the corresponding working distance
·Minimum arc rating of clothing
·Required level of PPE
·Highest hazard/risk category (HRC) for the equipment
Displaying arc flash calculations on industrial labels offers valuable safety information to other electrical workers, inspectors and emergency responders who will likely work on or around the equipment you label. When the minimum arc rating for clothing is clearly printed on an arc flash label, a worker immediately knows what combination of clothes must be worn.
All of DuraLabel’s Arc Flash Labels are specially formatted for printing with the DuraSuite software. Each DuraLabel Printer comes bundled with DuraSuite, making it easy to print professional quality arc flash labels with all the required NFPA 70E information. Software included with all DuraLabel printers allows large documents to be tiled into poster-size signs - eliminating size limitations.
