JOHN CRANE SHOWCASES MAJOR INCREASE IN SERVICE CAPABILITY

“The new centre is one of a network of over 230 John Crane facilities in 50 different countries. Like them, it is dedicated to providing the highest possible levels of customer support,” comments Colin Ure, General Manager John Crane UK Ltd.  “Our customers know they can rely on us to provide whatever type of service and support they require to eliminate risk and improve reliability. The new Northern Service and Operations Centre is tangible proof of both our commitment to those customers and of our ability to meet their expectations.”

In order to help customers achieve peak levels of reliability and efficiency from their operations, the services available have been expanded significantly. With exclusive access to original drawings, specifications and materials, plus the benefit of advanced tools and technologies on-site, the Centre’s experienced staff can restore equipment to ‘as new’ condition, allowing it to be returned to service in complete confidence. In addition to the expanded service capabilities the new facility also ensures that customers will benefit from even faster turnaround times on service projects and the reduction of downtime that will result.  Emergency situations are also catered for by the Centre, which provides a 24-hour shut-down and emergency assistance service.

John Crane UK also offers customers an extensive range of upgrade and conversion services, with experienced engineers available to analyse customer requirements and recommend the most appropriate solution.  As the only UK supplier of genuine John Crane spares the Centre is also able to hold and manage inventories of bonded parts for individual customers.

The Centre’s servicing and restoration capabilities are complemented by a full range of air and hydraulic pressure testing, plus the unique ability to conduct full dynamic testing at operating conditions. Customers can also access bespoke training for their own staff via the Trafford Park facility, which can be carried out on-site or on a customer’s own premises, by a dedicated team of training specialists.
