The device, termed the VPACTM, not only detects the presence of through valve leakage but also uses a proprietary calculation method to quantify the through valve leak rate that is unique in the industry meeting the criteria stated in the MMR mandate.

The VPACTM acoustic emission device technology has been the through valve leak detection standard for over 15 years. Based on over 10 years of research and with over 400 systems currently in use by major oil and gas companies worldwide, the VPACTM is the solution of choice for through valve leak detection and quantification in the industry.

In addition, the intelligent device allows the end user or MISTRAS Service inspectors to pre load the valve route directly into the device prior to taking readings. This saves significant time and helps validate the inspection. All information collected is easily transferred to a PC that generates fixed and custom reports documenting the inspections for submittal.
