POLARIS Laboratories® was ranked number 3,326 in the Inc. 500|5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. The company’s sustained growth has earned it a place in the Inc. 5000 list every year since 2009.
Based on company revenue growth, the 2013 Inc. 500|5000 ranks the percentage of revenue growth from 2009 to 2012. The list includes other notable companies, such as Zappos, Under Armour, Clif Bar, Pandora, LivingSocial, OtterBox, KT Tape and Jamba Juice.
The growth POLARIS Laboratories® experienced involved more than revenue, which doubled in the three years used for the ranking. The number of employees at the company rose by more than 60 percent in the same time span, and the company opened laboratories in Atlanta, Georgia and Guatemala City, Guatemala.
“Looking back, the last four years were when we moved onto the international stage,” said CEO Bryan Debshaw. “We’ve always received samples from overseas, but that’s when we doubled the number of facilities we operate, three of them in foreign countries. We went from being a national competitor to an international leader.”
“Not all the companies in the Inc. 500 | 5000 are in glamorous industries, but in their fields they are as famous as household name companies simply by virtue of being great at what they do,” said Inc. Editor Eric Schurenberg. “They are the hidden champions of job growth and innovation, the real muscle of the American economy.”
