As the 11th firm in the country designated an Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) “Certified Building Commissioning Firm”, IEC focuses on designing, engineering, and commissioning energy efficient mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, and will soon form the foundation of the new Predictive Service Engineering Group.

As part of the acquisition, IEC principals A.J. Mazza and Matthew Setzekorn will be joining the Predictive Service team. Mazza and Setzekorn are both licensed Professional Engineers with 25 and 12 years’ experience in the consulting engineering, design-build, and commissioning industry, respectively. Additionally, Mr. Setzekorn is also one of only two Certified Building Energy Modeling Professionals (BEMP) in the State of Ohio, and is one of less than 225 such professionals worldwide.  The two men bring a wealth of industry knowledge and recognition with them to Predictive Service, holding accreditations, certifications, registrations,  and memberships such as:  Association of Energy Engineers (AEE),  Certified Building Commissioning Professional (CBCP), Certified Lighting Efficiency Professional (CLEP) , and Certified Building Commissioning Firm (CMCF),  Association of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Condition Engineers (ASHRAE)  Certified Building Energy Modeling Professional (BEMP), American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE); Building Industry Consulting Services Internationals (BICSI) Registered Communication Distribution Designer (RCDD),  Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IES); National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA);  U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)and U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) ENERGY STAR Partner; and the United States Green Building Council’s (USGBC) Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED®) Accredited Professional .

“We have been experiencing a remarkable period of growth recently,” commented Predictive Service President and CEO Don Frankel. “The acquisition of IEC is evidence of this trend, and further supports our mission of being a complete reliability partner. IEC has been providing high-quality building engineering, testing and commissioning, energy audit and solutions, and LEED design and consulting services to their clients for years, and we look forward to integrating our newly formed Engineering Group to bring these solutions to our customers and complement our existing offerings.”
