The benefits of the RS20 lie primarily in the speed at which material diameters can be changed. Only three minutes are usually enough. Besides, the encapsulated sensor units are extremely robust and easily come in and out without any moving parts.

When producing rods and wires of various material diameters, eddy current systems must adapt quickly with each change of diameter. Guide bushings and testing parameters must be adjusted each time. Diameter adjustments, and the subsequent check using calipers, are often time-consuming and complicated.

The new RS20 system for non-destructive eddy current testing of metallic cylindrical material such as tubes, wires and rods of diameters ranging 2 to 20 mm enables high throughput rates. Thanks to its rugged and compact design, it is easily integrated into the production lines (drawing lines).

Another trend-setting, multi-channel eddy current testing system from the EDDYCHECK family is expected. Both innovations can be experienced live at the TUBE 2014. Visit us in Hall 6, Booth 6E09. We look forward to seeing you.

PRÜFTECHNIK NDT GmbH, a renowned specialist for eddy current testing systems provides a wide range of test equipment for reliable quality assurance in the semi-finished product industry. The EDDYCHEK and NOVAFLUX test equipment are used in numerous production techniques, for process monitoring and final testing of tubes, steel bars and wire. The eddy current test complies with a whole range of international standards, including ASTM, API, BS, JIS, ETTC, ENEL, DIN and SEP.

The PRÜFTECHNIK group, with subsidiaries and partners in more than 70 countries worldwide, is continuing to set new standards with innovative technical developments in the sectors of laser alignment and vibration measurement technology to maximize and optimize machine and plant availability.
