Schoolcraft Publishing delivers topic-specific study guides that are designed to help prepare students for successful careers. The spiral-bound booklets aim to improve student comprehension of topics understood by professionals and focus valuable class time toward hands-on instruction.

The newly developed study guides provide a complete walk-through of each chapter from fundamentals topics, to subjects on electrical and mechanical systems. The workbooks include a preface of each chapter,  listed objectives covered in the text, key terms, and a summary of the topics presented.

“It is important to expand our course materials to meet the needs of different learning environments,” said Pete Heinrich, Senior Account Manager, Schoolcraft Publishing. “The new study guides improve student comprehension as instructors can address different learning styles and effectively address the key points in a chapter.”

After several requests from instructors, Schoolcraft began looking at the benefits of study guides. The workbooks were developed to reinforce key concepts by asking students to apply what they have learned from the text. Instructors using the study guides have found that their students are better prepared for class and have a deeper understanding of the topics.

Schoolcraft currently offers study guides for its Basic Foundations,  Electrical Systems, and Mechanical Technology series. In addition to printed booklets, study guides are available in a downloadable format from Schoolcraft’s e-learning platform.
