PAS55:2008 - ASSET MANAGEMENT has been developed as a Publically Available Standard to capture the increasing international consensus of the required good practice on the management of physical assets.

For clients wanting existing asset management policies, systems and processes to be certified to PAS55:2008, SKM can undertake detailed evidenced based assessments of the maturity of these systems using the IAM PAS55 Assessment Methodology (PAM). Where the required standards are achieved SKM will issue certificates of compliance supported by ongoing compliance surveillance.

For companies that are not at this stage of implementation, we will undertake a gap analysis assessment of their systems and processes to identify the areas that need to be improved prior to achieving PAS55 certification. SKM can provide the technical support and guidance required to revise and implement clients systems and processes to build a robust asset management system.

This new service compliments our advisory consulting track record in the utility sector, both regulated and deregulated and by using our PAS55:2008 experience, SKM will be able to provide guidance on achieving and sustaining good practice in all facets of acquiring, owning and ultimately disposing of physical assets.
