CRL 1-hr: 9/26 Introduction to Uptime Elements Reliability Framework and Asset Management System

LONDON -- Telit Communications PLC, (AIM: TCM, “Telit”, the “Group”), a global enabler of the Internet of Things (IoT), has entered into an agreement with SAP® to license and resell the Telit deviceWISE IoT platform.

The collaboration between Telit and SAP is expected to offer a foundation for easily and securely connecting devices. The goal is to deliver trusted data to SAP enterprise systems and extract value through the SAP HANA platform, across numerous industrial environments for remote machine monitoring and control, production diagnostics, predictive maintenance, remote service and across several markets and industries worldwide.

Oozi Cats, Telit’s Chief Executive, commented:

“Our collaboration with SAP creates a new way for companies to onboard to the Internet of Things. We look forward to serving new and existing customers across different industries and markets worldwide.

“Additionally we offer the industry’s broadest portfolio of IoT products and services and bring unmatched expertise and resources to help customers get started with IoT – from prototyping to wide-scale commercial deployments.”

SAP recently announced its SAP Asset Intelligence Network and the SAP Predictive Maintenance and Service solution to help equipment manufacturers, service providers and asset operators benefit from the Internet of Things as the proliferation of sensors and smart devices transforms asset management.

These two innovations provide the applications and the business network necessary to enable new insights and the ability for stakeholders in asset management to move from a reactive to a more proactive approach.

Telit and SAP are already working with forward-thinking companies, large and small, on driving business transformation with the Internet of Things – saving money from operational efficiencies, generating revenues from new products and services, and improving compliance. For example, the companies worked together with a global leader of commercial cleaning equipment that has implemented the integrated IoT solution to extract real-time performance data from remote cleaning machines to generate actionable insights using big data analytics.

Industrial customers and cleaning contractors can now review when and where facilities are cleaned, determine where machines are physically located, track consumable levels, perform preventative maintenance and initiate replacement parts orders on a single unit or an entire fleet worldwide.
