Stratford, CT—Training Intelligence LLC today announced an agreement to deliver SAP Training on Plant Maintenance for a major defense contractor and aircraft manufacturer in Stratford, CT. As a leader in the training industry, Training Intelligence works with more than 400 clients nationwide. The addition of SAP training to their course offerings allows those clients and others access to affordable, high quality SAP education and resources.

“We’ve been providing SAP and other types of training for this group for a while, but we’ve been finding that Plant Maintenance in particular is an under-utilized, and consequently under-trained, module,” said Rob Hardy, Director of Business Development at Training Intelligence. “That this client opted to do this training session is a big step in the right direction.”

The instructor agreed. “I’ve been focused almost exclusively on SAP Plant Maintenance for the past eight years,” said Warren. “In most organizations, the maintenance work environment is so reactive in nature that the customer never seems to have enough resources to get all of the work done.”

He went on to further elaborate on the benefits of a well-designed Plant Maintenance system. “The most costly dysfunction of Plant Maintenance organizations is the tolerance of a reactive working environment, which causes the organization to dramatically lose effectiveness in the management of the reliability and availability of production equipment,” he explained. “SAP Plant Maintenance has tools which encourage the disciplines of work planning and scheduling which increase labor utilization and effectiveness, and brings about a planned working environment in which all maintenance work becomes effective, and cost effective. These disciplines are established through the training and coaching of maintenance teams, to enable them to embrace the tools in SAP Plant Maintenance and use them to achieve reliability goals.”

The SAP training enabled the client to implement best practices in their SAP Plant Maintenance system, and adopt a more proactive approach to maintenance schedules and routines.
