Los desajustes en las barras del rotor se pueden identificar a traves del espectro de vibracion con la presencia de picos por el número de veces de la velocidad operacional de las barras del rotor, (RBPF). Las llamadas falsas han sido causadas debido a la resonancia de las medidas del transductor. Los imanes a menudo utilizados para asegurar el montaje del transductor a la carcasa de la máquina bajará la frecuencia natural del sistema de transductor. Si el RBPF entra en el rango de la resonancia del sistema del transductor, entonces picos muy pequeños en RBPFs pueden ser amplificados 10 a 15 veces. Esto proporcionará indicación falsa de la condición del rotor. Un método rápido de la verificación de estas señales es el de quitar el imán del transductor de vibración y retomar la medida. Si la amplitud disminuye esto confirma que la señal fue amplificada por la resonancia del sistema de transductor.
