A collection of technologies that provide a means of assessing the integrity, properties, and condition of componenets or material without damaging or altering them. NDT methods include ultrasonic testing, radiography, thermography, visual inspection, magnetic particle testing, dye penetrant testing, acoustic testing, and others. Synonymous with non-destructive examination (NDE).
